The Baratza Virtuoso Coffee Grinder gets its roots from one of the most popular conical burr grinders on the the market, the original Maestro coffee grinder. It has many of the same design qualities of the popular Maestro, but it does no have the automatic grind timer or the manual pulse button located on the front of the housing, otherwise you can enjoy the same performance for less money!
The Baratza Virtuoso Coffee Grinder can grind coffee beans for any coffee brewer, whether it is an espresso machine, drip coffee maker, or French press coffee maker.
Expect smooth, quiet operation, conical Swiss made cutting burrs that give a fine grind critical for perfect espresso extraction, and more than a 50% greater grinding adjustment compared to other grinders in its class. You can adjust the grind range from a fine setting for a Turkish grind and espresso, up to a nice, even, coarser grind for a French press. The special gear reduction for the motor offers slow rotation of the cutting burrs which helps with the retention of the aroma and flavor of the freshly ground beans. It features a powerful 240-watt electric motor that won't bog down when grinding at fine settings. Using a combination of gear and electronic speed reducers, the burr rotates at only 450 RPM. This slower speed ensures that the beans will feed smoothly into the burrs. The Maestro is equipped with a specially designed On/Off switch. The switch may be rotated clockwise or counter clockwise from any position.
